NSA Stewards Ruling from Colonial Downs – September 5, 2022 Jockey Sean McDermott was fined $250 for a Classification 3 violation of the HISA Riding Crop Rule (1-3 strikes over the 6-strike limit); fined $250 for using the crop in increments of more than 2 strikes before allowing the horse to respond for at least 2 strides; and suspended one (1) steeplechase day, Thursday, September 15, 2022.
